Guest Presenters: Rob Amchin & Sara Glenie

Dr Rob Amchin is a Distinguished Teaching Professor and Concentration Coordinator in Music Education at the University of Louisville (KY). Dr Amchin teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in music education including Elementary General Music Methods, Secondary General Music Methods, an Introduction to Orff Schulwerk Course as well as graduate level courses in history, philosophy and research. Dr Amchin is an internationally recognized and sought-after teacher in Orff pedagogy. He has presented workshops and artist in residences, Orff teacher training courses and master classes throughout the US and around the world.

Sara Glenie has been teaching music at Grimwade House, Melbourne Grammar School for the past 13 years. She has also taught in secondary schools, kindergartens, childcare centres and tertiary institutions. Sara was a co-director of the environmental theatre company Vox Bandicoot and for many years she had run her own music studio teaching music to young children, with an environmental focus. Sara completed the Special Course at the Orff Institute in Salzburg and has taught recorder in the Orff Level Courses in Victoria. As well as teaching music, Sara plays the cello in various classical and folk groups.
