The NSW Orff Schulwerk Association is presenting a Two-Day conference for all teachers of Music. Join featured presenters Dr. Rene’ Boyer (Professor Emeritus of Music Education – University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music) and Paul Jarman (multi-instrumentalist, composer and choirmaster) as they share new ideas and repertoire.

Elective sessions will be given by a number of experienced Orff practitioners relating to early childhood, primary and secondary teaching and allow participants to gain skills, encounter new repertoire and ideas in practical and fun settings, relevant to best classroom practice. Completing this conference will contribute 12 hours and 30 minutes of NESA registered PD towards Proficient Teacher Accreditation. Not to be missed!

 

Conference Fees Include:

  • 1 or 2 days of quality teaching by leading Orff practitioners and teachers.
  • Completing the OSANSW 2 Day Conference will contribute 12 hours 30 minutes of NESA Registered PD addressing 1.5.2; 2.1.2; 3.3.2; 4.1.2; 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. (Note: attendance on both days necessary to claim NESA hours)
  • Comprehensive digital course notes.
  • Professional Development Certificate.
  • Morning teas and lunch for days attended.

Two Days:
Member – $320, Non-Members – $340, Full-time tertiary Students – $290

One Day:
Member – $210, Non-Members – $240, Full-time tertiary Students – $180

Participants will be asked to nominate afternoon electives after registration has been confirmed, in April.

Refunds: 80% of the conference fee will be refunded if cancelled before April 15th. No refund will be given after this date.
