Do you teach students for music exams? AMEB, Trinity Rockschool, ANZCA, etc?

Would you like your students to play more musically, with more confidence and better memory as well as having fun in the process AND making practice more inviting? Why not try a different approach using Orff Schulwerk and Whole Body Learning activities to not only inspire your students, but support their learning with proven whole brain stimulating activities. Whether you’re a piano or instrumental teacher, you’ll leave this workshop with techniques and strategies which are transferrable to any instrument and assist students of all ages to learn more effectively.

In Canberra on Sunday 28 July, Paul Myatt & Susan Head will present a 5 hour training over four sessions offering different pathways to give students an understanding of their pieces before they start reading the music. Explore “Listening with Purpose”, creating an embodied experience through a rich learning environment of exploring, singing, saying, moving, playing and improvising.

This hands on workshop will take teachers through selected examination pieces, scales and technical work, improvisation, aural, rhythm and sight reading activities by providing guided analysis of teaching processes for one on one or group teaching environments. Sessions will include movement, singing, improvising and keyboard lab. Teachers will have the opportunity to create their own whole body activities for their own students.

Join us for a jam packed day of training.
