Course Description:
This PTC endorsed workshop will provide Middle School and Secondary teachers with many practical tools and activities for the classroom. It will engage teachers with the Global Education perspective as it manifests in the music classroom, focusing on Australia’s engagement with Asia, from a musical perspective. The link between the Orff tuned percussion, and its inspiration, the Indonesian Gamelan will also be explored. Participants will engage in “ready to go” lesson ideas in performance and composition. Upper Primary and Secondary teachers will benefit greatly from this hands-on workshop!
