Course Description:
Sue Lane is a member of the NSW Orff Schulwerk Committee, accomplished Orff Levels Course Presenter and Lecturer at the University of Newcastle in Music Education for Primary & Middle Years. Sue was awarded the Professional Teachers’ Council award for Outstanding Teaching in 2011.
This workshop is designed to engage teachers of Stage 1-4 with the creative aspects of dance in order to enhance creativity and learning in the classroom. The afternoon will involve two short sessions focusing on selected elements of dance: action & space, and relationships. In each of these sessions music will be created and performed. Teacher participants will be involved in reflection and application in their classrooms and on developing plans for use.
