Digital Resources for Innovative Music Classrooms

Presentation of the new interactive digital resources that are being developed within Musica Viva In Schools. This workshop will present the MV player and allow participants to experience several associated interactive learning experiences.

Abstract:

In 2013 Musica Viva In Schools are launching a series of new module resources for classrooms, planned for particular developmental stages from Foundation to Year 8, based around particular pieces of repertoire or themes, with detailed sequential teaching notes, demonstrating Orff principles, and clear links to the new National Curriculum. Other Musica Viva In Schools resources are also being presented on the MV Player, providing exciting opportunities for effective interactive learning in classrooms. This workshop will present the MV player and allow participants to experience several associated interactive learning experiences, playing with the resource in order to fully appreciate its functionality. Participants will develop an understanding of the application of digital resources in classrooms and skills in presenting these possibilities with colleague teachers.
