Levels

The Orff Schulwerk Teacher Certification courses are designed to immerse participants in the Orff approach to teaching music.
The Orff approach, devised by Carl Orff, seeks to engender the inherently musical qualities in all people through an active and creative learning process.
This approach applies to all areas of music education, including early childhood, primary, secondary, tertiary, studio, therapy or special education. Participants in the certification courses experience this way of learning and teaching first-hand, using the skills and techniques specific to the Orff approach.
Level One, Two and Three will include studies in Creative Movement and Dance, Orchestration and Analysis, Technique and Improvisation, Descant Recorder (Level One) and Treble Recorder (Level Two), Bass Recorder (Level Three), Vocal studies and Pedagogy. Level One participants require a descant recorder, Level Two, a treble recorder and Level Three, a bass recorder.
Certification is attained through successfully completing all assessment tasks during the course and attending the required 36 face to face hours.
