Dance and Movement in Education Course - DAVID SPURGEON ANCOS ( Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk ) will be presenting a Dance and Movement Course at UNSW - Kensington Campus from July 8th to July 12th . David Spurgeon will be the presenter. David is a widely acclaimed Dance Tutor and Educator both here and in the UK. David has had a lifelong appreciation of music and has always sought to promote good music education within the Dance Curriculum. He has lectured at the Sydney College of Advanced Education for 13 years and then lectured at UNSW for 12 years. He is the author of two Dance books. He is particularly interested in dance improvisation and ways of encouraging non dancers to move, dance, and create dance. This course has been designed for educators who are considering being mentored to teach Movement and Dance in the Orff Schulwerk Teacher Training Levels Courses. It is also open to music teachers, musicians, dance teachers, and therapists interested in Music and Dance Education. To find out more and to Register see the flyer at Downloads. Orff Teacher Accreditation Course /Orff Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4. OSANSW will present all four Levels this year, at Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College, North Sydney from October 4th to October 9th. This is the first time in many years that Level 4 has been offered in NSW. The Presenters this year will be Dr Carol Richards, Dr Anne Power, Sarah Reeve, Robyn Staveley, Peta Harper and Susan Head. The Levels Courses are very popular so please register early to ensure you are guaranteed a place. We are also offering a limited number of Scholarships to participants studying Levels 1 or 2 and registration closes on August 18th. Registrations for the Levels close on September 14th.
